DefectDojo allows you to search through your Product Types, Products, Engagements, Tests and Findings using filters and tables.
Keyword Search allows you to sort through a view using keywords that appear in the object metadata (a Title, Description, etc).
The Columns menu allows you to select the columns you want to display on this table from a drop-down list.
The Clear Filters button allows you to clear any view filters you have set and return the table to its original state,
The Items Per Page menu allows to to determine how many entries you want to look at on a particular page.
The Selection checkbox allows you to select one or more items on the list. This checkbox is only available on a Findings table, and allows for Bulk Editing Findings from within the view.
Clicking on a Column Header allows you to apply filter logic to your table, or sort the table in ascending or descending order.
Apply filters to a table from a column header
If you want to filter for a particular set of objects in a table, you can do so by clicking the Filter icon on a column header.
This will open a context-specific menu that allows you to set filter parameters.
For example, on the Age column, there are two drop-down menus with values you can set:
A logical operator: Equals, Less Than or Greater Than;
A number for the amount of days that you want to filter by.
An example of these settings would be “Greater Than” / “5”, which would return any objects with an age greater than 5 days.
Legacy UI notes
The Beta implementation (pictured) of Finding Filters contains many options which are not available in the Legacy UI. For example - the Mitigated Within SLA filter tracks a True/False value for any Finding that was successfully Mitigated within its SLA. This Filter is not available in the Legacy UI.
